Mind Trails

Privacy Policy

Last updated: 10 Sep 2026

Mind Trails ("the App") is developed and published by TokenDev ("we", "us"). This policy explains what information the App handles on Android and iOS, why, and how to exercise your rights. Mind Trails works without an account and stores game progress on your device; advertising, analytics and crash reporting involve service providers as described below.

1. Overview

2. Information stored on your device

Your progress — campaign level, scores, hints and reveals, daily challenge results, streak, statistics, profile and game settings — is saved locally using the platform's app storage. Previous locally saved privacy choices are no longer used; the App does not save a user-consent record. Uninstalling removes the App's local data, but system backups and restores (such as Android Backup or iCloud) are controlled by your operating system and settings; uninstalling does not necessarily delete those backups, and a restore may bring data back. Uninstalling does not delete data already sent to Firebase or Unity.

3. Advertising

Ads support the free game. The direct Unity Ads 4.20 SDK (Unity Technologies) initializes automatically after the splash screen. It can provide a banner on the puzzle screen, occasional interstitials between campaign levels and optional rewarded videos for extra hints or reveals. Ad-based rewards require an available ad and its completion. The App has no global ads toggle and does not promise ad-free gameplay.

To deliver and measure ads and prevent fraud, Unity may process IP address (including approximate location), device and app information, identifiers available under platform restrictions, and ad impressions, clicks and other interactions. These data may be pseudonymous, not anonymous. The App uses Unity's default privacy handling without sending custom consent, opt-out or non-behavioral-ad signals. Privacy notices and available choices can vary by region and provider configuration. The SDK can make network requests during initialization. The App does not request iOS App Tracking Transparency (ATT) permission; Unity privacy choices do not replace any permission required by your operating system.

When available, use the privacy icon on a Unity ad to access Unity Data Privacy options. Their availability and behavior depend on Unity and the applicable configuration and region. Changing a provider choice does not itself erase data already received by Unity.

See the Unity Privacy Policy and Unity Game Player and App User Privacy Policy for its processing, rights and privacy-request options, including when no privacy icon is available. System advertising controls are additional choices, not a substitute for deletion requests.

4. Analytics and crash reporting

Google Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics are enabled automatically in Release builds to understand usage and diagnose crashes, without a local opt-in. There is no in-app switch for these services or first-launch privacy screen. Both remain disabled in Debug builds. These services collect:

These records are pseudonymous, not anonymous. We do not attach your profile name or text you type to these events. Firebase advertising storage, advertising user data and advertising personalization settings remain denied. Firebase advertising-ID collection is disabled on Android; iOS uses FirebaseAnalyticsCore without AdID support and with IDFV collection disabled. These Firebase restrictions do not describe every identifier Unity may process.

Google's processing is described in Firebase Privacy and Security. See section 8 for privacy requests and the limits on identifying provider-held records.

5. Notifications

Notification permission is requested starting with your second visit, not on first launch. Reminders are optional and local: if you opt in, the App can schedule up to three per day, at 11:00, 16:00 and 20:00 local time, subject to recent activity and operating-system delivery restrictions. No server is used to deliver them. Turn them off in Settings or your system notification settings. Notification permission does not control Firebase collection or Unity advertising.

6. Leaderboard

The daily leaderboard is generated locally on your device and does not use a server. Other players' names and scores shown there are simulated for the purpose of the game and do not correspond to real people. Your score is not shared with other players. In Release builds, a completed run's score may be included in its analytics event as described above.

7. Sharing

When you share a scorecard, the App hands a short text to your device's share sheet. Where it goes is entirely your choice, and we do not receive a copy.

8. Your rights and requests

Depending on applicable law, including GDPR, UK GDPR and LGPD where relevant, you may request access, correction, deletion or portability, restrict or object to processing, withdraw consent where processing is based on it, and complain to your data-protection authority. Automatic collection, use of the App and acceptance of its Terms or this policy are not user consent.

Email tokendev0@gmail.com with the App/platform, relevant provider and approximate dates. Because we have no account system, we may not be able to locate a pseudonymous record from your name or email alone. We may ask only for a relevant app-instance or installation identifier, if available, and explain how to find it safely, or direct you to the provider's request process. Do not send passwords, government identity documents or other sensitive documents. We will explain identification limits and any applicable retention obligations rather than promise deletion of records we cannot identify. Uninstalling or resetting an identifier does not by itself erase provider-held data.

9. Children

Mind Trails is a general-audience game and is not directed at children under 13 (or the applicable minimum age in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal data, contact us so we can investigate and seek deletion of identifiable records with the relevant provider, subject to the limits described above.

10. Data retention

Local game data remains in app storage until removed; operating-system backups have their own retention and restore controls. Google Analytics user-level and event-level retention depends on the actual GA4 property settings in the console, including any reset-on-activity setting. We do not assume a 14-month default. These controls do not necessarily cover aggregate reports or separately exported data; see Google Analytics data retention.

According to Firebase's retention documentation, Crashlytics generally retains crash stack traces, associated identifiers and extracted minidump data for 90 days before beginning removal from live and backup systems. Deletion is not necessarily immediate. Unity retains advertising data according to its policies and applicable obligations. Support correspondence is retained as needed to resolve requests and meet applicable legal obligations; contact us for information about a specific request.
